Your Horse Reflects You
Horses have personalities, just like humans, but there is another connection that is not apparent, and that is the secret behind Horse Spiriting. Animals reflect their owners.
If your horse is stubborn, are you being stubborn?
If your horse has a physical problem, you can heal it from the standpoint that it reflects an issue that you are facing.
To give you an example, once Barbara and I were visiting a woman who owns an Arabian gelding, called "Jumping Jack Flash." Ann was dealing with the fact that two friends who were dying of cancer. She was having a hard time forgiving her friends for being sick. She wanted them to be healthy and happy, just as she had always known them to be. Jack was having a problem with swelling in his front right knee. Barbara and I asked Jack what the problem was, and he answered that his "mother was not happy with her friends... " We talked to Ann about forgiving them.
As an aside, your body reflects your thoughts, also, so think about getting down on your knees means asking for help, or forgiveness, or asking to have a closer relationship with someone.
We talked to Ann a couple of days later, and she was amazed that as soon as she realized that she had to allow her friends to be sick, that the swelling in Jack's knee went away.
If your horse reflects you, and the issues you are going through, please understand that you have a terrific horse, and that rather than getting angry at your horse for misbehaving, you need to change yourself, not the horse.
We have seen this kind of thing happen over and over again, and we want to share this information with you so you can have a much closer relationship with your horse, and everyone is much happier and healthier, too.
